This past summer, we started construction on a waterfall. It has been finished for about a month and a half and we started using it immediately. The photos being taken with it are coming it great. Last week I photographed a senior in his fly fishing gear near it!
In addition to the waterfall, other features were added to this outside setting at our studio. This isn’t the only outside setting, we have others! And this upcoming spring I have more ideas up my sleeve for the class of 2011! Already 2 major props have been purchased to decorate them.
Here is some background. This waterfall project was conceived a few years back and was supposed to be in a different location, but I am happy we waited. What we finally came up with is huge, one senior commented that it looked like she was at the Nay Aug gorge when she saw her photos. Lots of building materials were recycled during this project. The bricks from the path are from one of my parents neighbors house from a path they ripped out a few years back. Some of the internal structure of the waterfall is made of smashed up cinder blocks that came from a wall that was ripped out when we built our north light studio.
